·      How about the water quality?
I love drinking tap water and according to San Francisco Water Power Sewer company, “San Franciscans currently enjoy high-quality, great tasting water from the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System”. Also, “unlike bottled water, our delicious tap water costs less than half a penny per gallon, is quality tested over 100,000 times a year, and goes straight to your tap”. In fact, “tap water is also highly regulated by the EPA and across state and local water quality standards”.

  1. Hey Rudi,
I hope that San Francisco has had a chance to somehow reduce the top polluters of the Drydock Inc and Chevron, and of the top pollutants including xylene since 2002, because although it was recent a lot has changed in 16 years in San Francisco to reduce our carbon footprint and also get rid of hazards to health. I also had no idea that Treasure Island was a superfund site all these years living in San Francisco. SF is lucky to have good water quality! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Hi again Rudi!

Wow I did not know that Treasure Island is a superfund site! But it makes so much sense since for a long time is has been a rather isolated place, but I am concerned now with all the developments happening there both in housing and food business. I wonder how the superfund site may be impacting these developments- or if this is even ethnically taken into consideration! Im happy to hear that SF has good water quality! I was surprised that Oakland's is not as good! Thank you for sharing!
