Topic of Interest: Exposure to Environmental Heavy Metals Related to Breast Cancer
So I went to the SFDPH website looking for information on my topic and found nothing. I looked under diseases and only found things like STD, TB, immunization, and things like that for information. I searched my topic as well in the search engine and found nothing as well in correlation to my topic.
I think that the websites and search engines that we did at the library as a class will be more helpful for finding information about my topic. unless I am missing something?

I really do wonder how much of an impact the USDA has on animal welfare, especially with the meats that we eat. I also feel that they should be doing a much better job with all the roles and responsibilities that they have, and how much of an impact they can make.
Is there specific environmental heavy metals that you could look into that relate/correlate/impact breast cancer risk? I feel that maybe your topic of interest isn't specific enough and that may be affecting your search for articles and information. Hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteYour topic sounds so interesting! I'm sorry you are having a hard time finding articles, I like Matthew's suggestion of picking a specific metal to include in your search. In the library databases, I would suggest an advanced search like (breast cancer) and (metals) and (environment) or something to see what comes up! Looking forward to hearing what you've found.
